Welcome to Azalea Dance Academy, a premier dance studio located in Christchurch. AKDA has three locations, Mt Pleasant, Sumner and Mairehau. We are dedicated to providing exceptional dance education to students of all ages and skill levels. With a wide range of genres to choose from, including ballet, jazz, acrobatics, contemporary, and more, we offer both recreational and elite classes to cater to every dancer's needs. Azalea Keegan
Azalea Keegan started AKDA in 2021 after completing her full time studies in Sydney, Australia. There she gained a Diploma in Elite Performing Arts. Azalea has completed all her major exams including Ballet (RAD, BBO and NZAMD), Jazz, Contemporary, Acrobatics, Hip Hop and Tap. From the age of 5 Azalea has competed in both National and International competitions and workshops winning multiple awards and scholarships. Azalea has performed, choreographed, mentored, taught and directed classes for many years and is now bringing her knowledge to all of the students at AKDA.
